There are often many questions that I get asked when I say I do charity work so hopefully this list will help to answer some of these.

Where is Dharamsala?

Dharamsala is located in the North of India at the base of the Himlayas.

Who lives at Dharamsala?

There is a large population of  Indians that live in the area  and also Tibetan refugees that have arrived from over the mountains.

Why did we choose Dharamsala to do our work?

Dharamsala chose us I always say.  We were looking for a project when at 3am in the morning I was introduced to Dharamsala via the ABC radio.  From there it just unfolded.  I also have a personal connection with India as my Great grandfather was a doctor in India and my Grandfather was born there.  I have travelled there several times and fell in love with the country. 

Why not do work in Australia?

This is one of the most common questions I get asked and my simple answer is I do.  I pay taxes and the government funds many needed areas.  I donate to local charities and help out where I can.  My husband works with Indigenous health and was responsible for setting up a charity for sun cancer awareness.  

The world is our back door not just Australia.
